It’s just over three weeks until the Spring Harvest Holidays 2025 season opens! At Le Pas Opton the team are busy getting the site ready. In the UK the team are busy helping our guests and team confirm bookings, book ferries, and provide the information you need to plan your holiday with us. They are also busy helping our speakers, worship leaders and pastoral teams make their arrangements to prepare for their time with us. I’m delighted to announce that Claudia Keyworth has accepted the role of Programme Manager. Many of you will know Claudia as she’s has been an Animateur for the past few years and a guest for many years. She’s certainly no stranger to our guests so I’ll let her introduce herself:
“Hi, I’m Claudia! For those who don’t know me, I’ve spent the past year and a half as a full-time missionary with Circuit Riders YWAM. I’ve had the opportunity to go on outreach to the Philippines and lead a team of young missionaries across Europe, leading worship and sharing the gospel: an experience that was both inspiring and life-changing. Le Pas Opton has been a special part of my life for the past 10 years, both as a guest and an Animateur. I’m beyond excited to step into the role of Programme Manager this summer and help create a joy-filled, fun and restful experience for everyone."
We are delighted to have a fantastic team of Animateurs and Bénévoles recruited and ready to head to Le Pas Opton. We are still looking for more night shepherds who help encourage us all to bed at the end of a busy day and keep watch over the site at night. We could also do with a few more minibus drivers to help pick up guests from the airport and do runs into Saint Gilles and the surrounding areas for those coming without cars. Our montage volunteers are already in France setting up the site. Our amazing Park Manager Dave reports:
"Montage is going great guns, with all tents put up and everything inside unpacked. The team have smashed it in 10 days - that has to be a record! We're busy with getting the bikes ready, building the Life Kids Tent, preparing the technical aspects of the marquee. Hanging baskets are planted and in the polytunnel growing away, the Veg Patch ready for planting, duvets have been delivered to the mobile homes, blankets as well, fire extinguishers in place, staff uniform has been sorted. The river pontoon is ready and the kayaks in place - the pool is being prepared as we speak. The sun is shining and we're enjoying listening to the French church from Paris worshipping in the bar. It's all happening and we're so very grateful to our Montage 2025 team who are working hard to prepare this place for a great season - bring it on!”
We’d really value your prayers, both now as we put the finishing touches to the site and for our team preparing to minister and look after our guests. Please join us as we seek God, asking him to continue to bless all that happens at Le Pas Opton. We know our work is part of his wider Kingdom work and has a spiritual value far beyond a wonderful holiday in France. We gather as a team over the first May Bank Holiday weekend in France to saturate the site in prayer. We’d love you to join us in prayer, particularly on that weekend, as we launch the 2025 season.
